MailChimp is an email marketing platform found online which started out as a newsletter service. MailChimp allows you to “engage your customers and boost your business with MailChimp’s advanced, yet easy-to-use marketing platform” (MailChimp, 2022, para. 1). MailChimp allows you to send out various communications such as emails, newsletters, social ads, landing pages, postcards, and more. Its easy-to-use email automation can also save you time by automatically sending our communications based on your preferences, although this function is only available for the paid plans and not the free version. A short YouTube video by Metics Media called Learn Mailchimp FAST in 15 Minutes 2022 (EASY Mailchimp Tutorial for Beginners) demonstrates how to sign up and start using MailChimp quickly and easily and most of all for free. Alternatively, LinkedIn Learning offers the course: Mailchimp Essential Training by marketing consultant Virginia O’Connor. This course offers a more in-depth learning about the various functions and abilities found in MailChimp such as how to create and design email campaigns, creating and managing your audiences, setting up subscribers, and even setting up appointments and selling products. MailChimp even has data and analytics which help you to see how your marketing campaigns shape up and allows you to test various campaigns to judge effectiveness in your marketing.
